What Florida law says now

Section 390.0111 of the Florida Statutes requires in-person performance by a physician, prohibits telehealth for abortion, and says abortion medication may not be delivered through the U.S. Postal Service or another courier. The same statute generally prohibits abortion after a physician determines the pregnancy is more than six weeks, with specific statutory exceptions.

Federal approval does not replace state requirements

The FDA's federal mifepristone program allows dispensing by certified prescribers and certified pharmacies under federal requirements. State law can impose additional limits, including Florida's in-person and shipping restrictions.
